When you parent deploys, when ever you get a chance always tell them what’s going on with you. Whether it’s in a letter, Skype, or over the phone. Tell them all the stuff that’s is happening. They will love to hear from you and it helps them to stay involved and know what’s going on back home.

My sister and I sent letters in the mail and funny cards.

My grandma, my sister and me spoke at this Yellow Ribbon event. It was our second Yellow Ribbon event. We displayed our books, we got to talk to kids and we spoke to a group of soon to be deployed soldiers and their families. We tried to share what we did during our mom’s deployment so families would know what to do- Ivie

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We spoke to the families and after we spoke we received our own  Unit coin from the Commander Darrel Brown.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We helped pass out backpacks for the kids with Jhoselyn Ramirez she is a Army Reserve Family Readiness.

We are excited to be attending our second Yellow Ribbon event this weekend Nov. 5. These military families are getting ready for deployment.
